Samsung rumored to be working together with MediaTek as
chipset suppliers or SoC (System on Chip) is used on smartphones and tablets
flagship. This information comes from a Taiwanese media. As we know, chipset
MediaTek is widely used by smartphone
lineup of entry-level and medium.
Initially, chipset MediaTek only used by the Chinese
smartphone vendor. However in recent years the global vendors such as Sony, Asus, and HTC also use the chipset. It is undeniable that chipset MediaTek offers performance that is qualified with
affordable price.

Samsung which is the market leader Android smartphones so
far not use chipset MediaTek . South Korean giant is only using chipset Exynos
and Qualcomm for the upper middle class. While the lower class smartphone,
Samsung uses chipset made Spreadtrum or
Broadcom.
Samsung has begun to move away from Qualcomm and is very
visible since the release of the Galaxy S6
smartphone and Galaxy S6 Edge. Both smartphone rely on the support of
the chipset Exynos made by Samsung's own that offers performance that is not
inferior to the Snapdragon 810 made by Qualcomm's .
Samsung does have a homemade chipset via Exynos series, but
the company is only used for the upper and middle class products. This is an
opportunity for MediaTek to establish a partnership with Samsung. If this
information is correct, then Samsung will use chipset Mediatek for entry-level products.

statement from Samsung about this news.
